With its loose horizontal bands, I can’t help but conjure the idea of an abstract wilderness in this lovely little painting. Collage papers, and torn bits of old paintings feature prominently in this mostly blue and white mixed media work. Lovely on its own, perhaps propped on a floating shelf, it would work equally well with its companions Wander with Me #13 or #14.
Like the others in the Wander with Me series, this work is painted on a small panel with deep sides that are finished with a clear coat. The sturdy sides make it easy to stand it, unsupported, on a shelf. If you’d rather display it on a wall, I recommend using two nails in your wall to help keep the painting level.
