FEBRUARY BLUES

This past winter we were lucky enough to have the pond behind our house freeze with a smooth and (mostly) snow free surface and temperatures cold enough for skating and playing pond hockey. The frozen pond drew the neighborhood kids, both big and small to enjoy the perfectly cold and icy weather during the month of February. The ice and the skaters as well as our walks in the wintery wonderland inspired the paintings you’ll see below.

Each of these small mixed media paintings on cradled wood panels measures 30 x 30 x 4 cm (12” x 12” x 1 5/8”), is UV varnished in a satin finish and is ready to hang directly on your wall. The edges or cradles of the panel are painted and varnished to complement the colours of the painting so they can be hung on the wall just as they are for a contemporary look or you could choose to frame them in a style to suit your décor.

I hope you enjoy scrolling through the images of the paintings. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have a question about a painting you see here or elsewhere on the site.
