LISTENING LESSONS
A collection of small and sensitive abstract paintings born of the desire to explore a lighter palette and more “open” space. Soft edges and quiet transitions create an imaginary skyscape in which to let your mind drift and to let your thoughts float freely.
The imagery in this series is a result of experimentation with paint and hand printed collage papers, combined together in a playful game of mixed media hide and seek. The paintings all share a colour palette of blues, creamy whites, greys and greens with a few hints of peachy pink.

Listening Lessons, in the studio
Each one of these mixed media paintings has been finished with a UV protectant varnish in a satin finish. All of the paintings are on deep cradled panels with sides that have been painted to complement the work. Equally happy singly or as part of a pair or grouping, hang them on the wall just as they are for a contemporary look or frame them in a style of your choosing.
