Original artwork by ANN ROTH
Deep moody blues are contrasted with pale grey, white and yellow ochre in this little abstract painting. Barely visible, under layers of paint and other collage papers are pages from an old encyclopaedia. This painting, and its companions (Wander with Me #14 and #15) has its own built-in “frame”, part of the painting panel itself.
The deep wood sides of the painting panel have been finished with a clear coat finish preserving the light colour of the wood. This makes for a nice contrast with the overall dark feel of this painting. When displaying it on a wall, I always recommend using two nails in the wall, rather than just one, to keep the painting level.
