This small, dark abstract painting feels like a deep pool of water: There is a world of beauty below the surface, barely seen, obscured and distorted by reflections from above. Deep shades of blue are punctuated by dots of bright white, bubbles perhaps, that trip across the surface. It pairs well with two others in this series, #13 and #15. The three paintings could be hung together vertically or horizontally for a charming display.
This painting is on a deep sided wooden panel with a built-in “frame”. The sides have been left unpainted and have been finished with a clear coat. I recommend using two nails in your wall to help keep it level.
