When I was a little girl my favourite colour was sunny, happy yellow. I left the pinks and purples for the other girls…I would have yellow. But in my artwork, I have forsaken my once favourite colour and have avoided using yellow in my work. That is, until recently.
Taking centre stage of this otherwise dark little abstract is cheerful yellow. Over a sea of calm and serious blue, carefree yellow skitters across the surface.
The deep edges of the wooden panel have been sealed with a clear coat, and the painting is wired and ready to hang. When displaying it on a wall, I recommend using two nails in the wall to help prevent the painting from moving. Alternatively, you could stand this small painting on a shelf for a contemporary display.
