Original artwork by ANN ROTH
This small abstract painting came together one day after several weeks of just not working. I was about to give up on it, but then, a good sanding back revealed earlier layers that set me off in a new direction. The various shades of blue from navy to cobalt to teal are set off with a punchy orange, bold gestural lines and subtle, more considered ones.
The deep edges of the wood panel have been sealed with a clear coat. The painting is wired and ready to hang. When displaying it on a wall, I recommend using two nails in the wall to help prevent the painting from swinging. It could also be propped on a shelf or bookcase for a contemporary display.

Signed on the back
