I often name my paintings after they are completed and often based on the smallest of elements that I see in work itself. The name of this painting, Up on the Roof, was inspired by a small piece of collage paper. It’s the tiniest of images of a house roof drawing that has been incorporated into the work. With its angular shapes and limited colour palette the name is an apt one for this small limited palette painting. It would be a great addition to any room with a grey or white colour scheme.
