Original artwork by ANN ROTH
Sometimes I dream that I have arisen from sleep and begun my day only to realise, a moment later, that I am still asleep. There is an exquisite pleasure in feeling as if I occupy these two worlds, one of dreams and one of reality, at the same time.
This painting is almost, but not quite, divided into two equal halves: Dark and light, day and night, here and there. The dark sweep of navy from left to right seems to imply a watery space below a dreamy white sky.
Details
Original mixed media acrylic painting on a deep wood panel, unframed
Signed on the back
Edges painted in a deep dark blue
UV protectant varnish, satin finish and ready to hang
16” x 16” x 1 1/2” (approx. 41 x 41 x 4 cm)
