For a long time this was the painting that I would turn to for inspiration when I was struggling in the messy middle phase of making another painting. In Line Work, I’ve found both the looseness I seek, and the structure I crave, balanced in harmony.
Rendered in a pleasing colour palette of deep blue, grey, olive green, cream and yellow ochre it would make the perfect complement to any small room in a similar colour scheme. The edges of the panel are painted in a deep navy blue similar to the darkest value in the painting.
